The Journal is something I can just print out, pick up, and work through with my children without hours of preparation. I purchased this book 2nd hand. The book itself tells wonderful stories about the different creatures, in the most beautiful language. The illustrations are delightful. But it only calls the creatures by their nick names. It's pretty hard to find out more information without the proper names of things. I believe the new edition with accompaning CD solves this problem and allows you to access lots of extra information on the internet on each creature.

If your not from Australia read this.

Well, I am very happy with this e-book. Most of the living things that are covered in the book have an equivalent here.  Ladybugs, spiders, and more can be studied without being specific to the region. I have decided not to get the actual book, The Wonderaland of Nature Study and to use books from the library which cover the local species. I really like the e-book, though, for making our studies more hands-on. The pages are beautiful and so well done.

This is one purchase I have made for next year that I have no regrets about. I really can't wait to use it.

So, if you have anyone from other countries asking about this, you can tell them what I have said. I think it is helpful for more than just people from Australia. We are in Connecticut (part of New England) on the east coast of the United States.
